Zootopia available on Netflix US and Canada

Netflix Canada  and US have  a lot of Disney movies, but since this month, both regions  will have  all the last disney movies in the library. All Disney films released theatrically in 2016 and beyond are included in a special deal both companies did last spring.

From September onwards, Netflix will become the exclusive US pay TV home of the latest films from Disney, Marvel, Lucasfilm, and Pixar,” said Ted Sarandos, the company’s content boss.

Zootopia is now available in Netflix US and Canada. The movie is different from other disney movies, target to a more mature audience. Its  a buddy cop mystery crime comedy film. For me it was a big surprise this movie, I didn´t watch the trailer or read the plot.

If you want to watch these movies with StrongVPN you can access easily to more than 10.000 movies and tv shows, include all new Disney  movies because StrongVPN works with Netflix Canada, US, UK and Netherlands.

The Revenant available on Netflix Canada

Last days Netflix Canada has released  some good movies.   If you want to watch these movies with StrongVPN you can access easily to more than 10.000 movies and tv shows, include all new Disney  movies because StrongVPN works with Netflix Canada, US, UK and Netherlands.

Here is the list:

  • The Revenant.  The winner of 2016 Oscar with Leonardo DiCaprio. Filmed in Canada the story  is the 1820s, a fur trapper struggles for survival to exact retribution against a ruthless mercenary who left him to die along the Missouri River.

  • The Witch. For me it´s  one of the best horror movies of the last years. Believing that a witch has cursed their family, pilgrims homesteading on the edge of a primeval New England forest become increasingly paranoid.

  • The Finest hours.  From Disney pictures and starring  Chris Pine ( Star Trek), this movie has released on theatres  this year. When a furious Atlantic storm rips apart two oil tankers, a Coast Guard team performs a daring and heroic rescue to save the lives of the crew.

Netflix´s The Get Down is an Epic recreation of the 70´s Hip-hop and Disco music culture

I have a lot of expectations with the new Netflix original series The Get Down. A 120M$ budget and Baz Luhrmann as a showrunner are enought ingredients to invite to watch the show.

I have seen the 6 episodes and I need to say its amazing. The Get Down is a epic brilliant overwhelming vibrant series. The first 90 minutes  episode  was directed by Baz. If you saw Moulin Rouge, you should now special Luhrmann style, mixing songs, scenes like a DJ.

The plot is about DJ too, but the main characters are a couple. Mylene ( Herizen Guardiola), she wants to be a singer and Ezekiel ( Justice Smith) the narrator of the show. He is good with rhymes and he will become a Rap singer in the future.  They are going to have some problems to success.

All the story happens in the Bronx of the 70´s. The recreation of those years is true to reality.  Great scenery mixed with recurring filming exteriors in almost every chapter. especially graffiti and vinyl culture.

Did you remember HBO´s Vinyl. Maybe not because they cancelled it after one season. This series is much better. Trust me. It´s a must. Netflix has a hit here. I don´t know if will be more success than Stranger Things but it deserves.

Netflix Stranger Things review

stranger things

The last weekend Netflix has released one of the most expected original series. Stranger Things is the new tv show everybody is talking about. I did a Netflix marathon last friday and saw the entire series. There are 8 episodes, but it´s like a long movie.

The ambientation is like you imagine when the trailer  was showed.  Kids with bikes, paranormal activity,  monsters and Winona Ryder. A mix of 70 and  80’s movies such as E.T, The Goonies, Stand By Me, Alien, Carrie, The Thing, Evil Dead.  The nostalgia is ok but how about the plot and actors? They are pretty good. Is a good mistery, it catch you in the 10 first minutes and then you can´t stop, specially the first 4 chapters are amazing. The 5 and 6 the action calm down, but the ending is amazing. The young actors are awesome and Winona Ryder (is not the principal character) is ok, but she is not the best of the show.

One more thing, the Soundtrack is a must. Themes by The Bangles, Peter Gabriel, The Clash and Joy Division.

Thanks Netflix for this awesome tv show. Hope next year you´´ll show another season of Stranger Things.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens available on Netflix Canada

the force awakens

The other day i wrote about Star Trek series, as you guys know, Im a Star Wars fan though,  so Im happy to say all of you, that since today, Star Wars: The Force Awakens is available on Netflix Canada.  Its the only netflix region in the World which has this awesome movie. ( A good point to move to Canada, right)

I saw this movie in Vancouver last year and almost cried.  It´s not the best Star Wars movie (for me is the Episode IV) but it´s better than Episode I.  Luke is gone, nobody knows where is he.  The rest of the imperial soldiers are call now The First Order. I prefer another enemy, but the nostalgic stuff is ok for most of the fans. Anyway, Han Solo, Leia and Chewbacca (not mom Chewbacca, maybe in the next movie) are back. New characters and new lovely  droid (for selling in disney stores) are the stars of the chapter VII.

JJ did a good work, (with the help of Lawrence Kasdan). The movie made a big boxoffice but Avatar is still the leader. So wether ir you are a fan or not of Star Wars, enjoy with this entertaining sci-fi film.
